Care Instructions
Norwex microfiber has a micro-silver antibacterial agent called BacLock woven into the fibers of the cloth. This agent inhibits bacteria from growing and allows the microfiber products to self purify within 24 hours of being thoroughly rinsed out and hung to dry. This means your Norwex products will not get a mold or mildew smell to them and they will not spread bacteria from surface to surface if used and cared for properly.
Washing
Lightly soiled microfiber clothes can be rinsed under warm running water, scrubbing the cloth together, wring out and hang to dry. Gently used cloths can be washed every 1-2 weeks in the washing machine. If your cloths are starting to develop an odor, or they have been heavily soiled, they should be washed in the washer.
To launder, wash in the washer separately or with other LINT FREE laundry (such as sheets) with hot water. Dry in the dryer. Do not use bleach, fabric softener or dryer sheets. A filler free detergent is recommended such as Norwex Laundry detergent.
To Deep Clean
It is recommended to deep clean your Norwex microfiber a few times a year. Deep cleaning allows the fibers in your products to expand and release all the dirt that has been picked up. To deep clean, bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add a teaspoon of Norwex detergent and your clothes to the pot and turn off the heat. Let everything soak overnight. Rinse in the morning and then launder as normal. Norwex also offers a Microfiber Cleaning Booster which is a deep cleaning agent that helps restore microfiber products to like ‘like new’ condition.
