How I Work

Whole-person wellness — body and mind

If you've been told “your labs are normal” but you still don't feel well, you're not alone — and you're not imagining it. Conventional medicine is exceptional at managing disease, but it often misses the root causes of why we don't thrive.

At Healthy Home & Family, I use functional and integrative health tools to dig deeper: gut health, hormones, sleep, stress, and nutrition. Alongside that, as a Covenant Life Coach, I help you identify the mindset patterns and limiting beliefs quietly holding you back.

This dual approach — body and mind — is rare. It's where lasting transformation happens.

Root causes analysis

Understand the why behind the symptoms instead of just masking them.

Holistic perspective

The body, mind, and spirit addressed together.

Clinical understanding

Years as an RN means understanding the conventional approach taken and what warrants further evaluation.

Faith-integrated

Grounded in Biblical values and truths.

Living What I Teach

Many protocols I recommend, I've tested and lived first. My recommendations are designed to simplify things for the busy mom.

Why This Works, and Why Both Sides of It Matter

There are excellent root-cause practitioners. There are excellent life coaches. Very few are trained as both, and almost none come to it with well over a decade of clinical nursing experience.

I didn't plan it that way. I trained as an Integrative Health Practitioner in 2020, then added a life coaching certification a year later while pregnant with my third baby — not even sure why I felt such a pull to this type of training. But I understand now: the body and mind were never meant to be treated separately. The clients who get lasting results are the ones who address both the physical and the emotional and mental sides of health.

My Story

A nurse, a coach,
a mom of four

I spent over 12 years as a Registered Nurse — in the Emergency Department, Community Health, and Nursing Education. I loved it. There is nothing quite like the feeling of genuinely helping someone in a moment of crisis.

Yet in all my years in the allopathic medicine setting, I often saw the same pattern. Either those who followed the recommendations of medications and interventions and still didn't feel great, or those who would have their labs come back as “normal” and feel far from it. Conventional medicine is extraordinary at crisis care — but it wasn't built to answer the question “what's keeping this person from thriving?”

That gap led me to become a certified Integrative Health Practitioner in 2021, trained across seven disciplines — functional lab testing, gut and hormone health, nutritional science, sleep, and stress physiology. For the first time I had frameworks to answer the “why.” My nursing background made it different: I bring clinical discernment alongside integrative tools, so you get both depth and safety.

Then I noticed something else. Even when we found the root-cause answer, some people still struggled to fully heal. In 2021, I became a certified Covenant Life Coach — while pregnant with my third child — and discovered the missing piece: the deeply-held beliefs and identity patterns that shape how we feel every single day. The body and the mind are not separate. Treating them together is where lasting transformation lives.

As a wife and mom of four, I'm not speaking from a clinical distance. I have lived the exhaustion and the overwhelm. I've been the person told “everything looks normal” who still couldn't get out of bed. And I've done the work to reach the other side — using the same tools I bring to every client.

This is personal. Your health matters — and so does every ordinary day you spend in it.

Questions

Common questions

No — and that's intentional. I work alongside conventional medicine, not instead of it. My nursing background helps me recognize when something needs a physician's attention. What I offer digs into areas conventional medicine often misses: functional nutrition, gut health, hormone balance, stress, and mindset.

Not at all. Many clients come with specific symptoms; others want to optimize their energy, health, and mindset. Both are completely valid reasons to start.

Sessions are 1:1 video calls, typically 45–60 minutes. We review your progress, address new questions, and keep building on your personalized plan. Between sessions, you have access to resources and my support.

Covenant Life Coaching is grounded in a faith-integrated framework, but clients don't need to share a specific faith tradition to benefit. The principles — integrity, identity, purpose — are universal. We'll meet you where you are.

Most clients work with me for 3–6 months to see meaningful, lasting change. Real transformation isn't a quick fix — but you'll start feeling differences much sooner than that.

The first step is a $97 consultation — a 45–50 minute Zoom session where you share your full story and leave with clear, personalized recommendations. The fee is credited in full toward any coaching package or lab testing if you move forward.
