Not as It May Appear

Beach

A few weeks back, I was on a trip and shared a beach photo with friends and family. The pristine sandy shore, gentle waves, and sun-filled sky sparked a bit of envy. Then, I mentioned the 55-degree temperature—with a “feels like” of 46 degrees—and their jealousy quickly faded!

It got me reflecting on a deeper level. Years ago, working in the Emergency Department, I would sit in triage, often amazed by the stories patients shared in just a quick five-minute encounter. You would never guess what challenges they were navigating simply by looking at them. After over seven years there, I thought I had heard it all—until I became an integrative health practitioner and life coach. This new role allowed me to witness on a deeper level the toll that emotional pain, vague and mysterious symptoms, and diagnosed physical illness can take on people. I saw firsthand how the outward picture of their lives often conceals what they’re truly going through.

In this world we are going to have trouble, it’s a given. Jesus spoke “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” (John 10:10) The goal I have for my clients is to guide them toward genuine health and healing, both physically and emotionally, so they can experience the rich, fulfilling life Jesus spoke of. I want them to build meaningful relationships with real connection, to thrive in their daily work, and to enjoy a healthy, energetic body that keeps up with everything they desire to do.

One of my clients, Megan, described it so beautifully, “So many times our mental and physical health are not looked at a whole, but having a life/health coach really helps emphasize that these things are interconnected. If we want to feel better physically then we also need to make sure we feel good mentally and vice versa.”

If it feels overwhelming, if you don’t know where to start, or if you’ve already tried “all the things” and still find yourself stuck—let’s talk. I’m passionate about guiding clients toward true healing, and it starts by looking at the whole picture, bringing each aspect of your health into alignment. Together, we’ll work toward the rich, satisfying life you desire.
